Green
Green Paua Shell center: represents the Green Earth. The circle of blue around it: is for the clean Sky and Oceans. The Rust background: is for healthy, fertile ground. The blue and green Thick and Thin Hearts: going beyond what is expected, enduring good with the bad, for the love of a clean Green Earth

The design is drawn and wood burned.   Then the paua is set in place, marked and the area inside the markings is carved out.   It is then colored, sprayed and the Paua is permenintly epoxed in.

Hearts Through Thick and Thin
Originally the Celtic knot designs from the ancient Illuminated Manuscripts were fill-in or background patterns, they were found over door ways to represent the journey that we will take in life.  We strive to untangle the knots with our minds same as we strive to untangle our life .
I designed the heart knots as thick and thin, to represent going beyond what is expected, to endure the bad as well as the good, withstand the test of time and being there through thick and thin!
