Each purse is big enough to hold a wallet, hairbrush, keys, lipstick and cell phone, what ever you need for that special occassion.
Made from the tops of bottle gourds for strength. They are cut, sanded, wet sanded and if needed the inside is coated with epoxy and muslin.  The gourd isn't flat or symetrical and templets and patterns can't be used so the design is drawn directly on the gourd.  The design is then burnt into the gourd  with very small wood burning pen tips.  It is sanded, and burnt one more time and then given a final wet sanding.
I had to create another way to color my gourds other then leather dyes because of the detail of my designs. Trial and error brought me to a medium that gave me flawless blending and brilliant colors. 
Finally, I use a high quality faux suede yarn for softness and wearability, the top and linning are a tight crochet, the cord, and tassel are also made from the same yarn. The tassel beads are horn beads .
